Google is testing a new Gemini powered tool called Device Help that could make troubleshooting Pixel phones much easier. The feature is currently appearing on the Pixel 11 series as part of a limited test.

Device Help can be accessed through the plus menu in the Gemini app, where it appears near the bottom of the list above Personal Intelligence. The feature is currently marked with a Labs badge, indicating that it remains experimental.

The tool is reportedly available in the latest Google app beta, version 17.52, although the rollout appears to be limited rather than widely available.

With Device Help, users can have a conversation with Gemini about problems affecting their phone. It can answer questions about Pixel features, change certain device settings and provide assistance with troubleshooting common issues.

The troubleshooting capabilities cover problems involving connectivity, battery life, audio and app performance. Gemini can also help users free up storage and review how their storage is being used.

Device Help can additionally audit app permissions, manage notifications and configure app timers. It can provide step by step instructions for using features, gestures, camera functions and privacy settings.

If Google expands the feature beyond its current test, Device Help could turn Gemini into a more useful built in support assistant for Pixel users.
