iQOO is gearing up to officially unveil the iQOO 15 Ultra on February 4, marking the brand’s first-ever smartphone to carry the “Ultra” branding. While iQOO has already shared official renders revealing the phone’s design, a newly surfaced hands-on video from well-known tipster Ice Universe offers a closer look at the device in real-world conditions, giving us a better sense of its materials, finish, and overall presence.
The video highlights the iQOO 15 Ultra’s distinctive back panel, which features a hexagonal pattern that reflects light in different colors depending on the viewing angle. This gives the phone a dynamic and premium look that stands out from typical glass finishes. The device is framed by a metal chassis with a matte texture, reinforcing its flagship positioning and likely improving grip during extended use.

On the right side of the phone, you’ll find the power button and volume rocker, accompanied by shoulder triggers designed primarily for gaming. These physical triggers hint strongly at iQOO’s focus on mobile gaming performance. The left frame houses an air outlet, confirming the presence of an active cooling fan inside the device, a feature rarely seen outside dedicated gaming smartphones. This cooling system is intended to maintain sustained performance during long gaming sessions.
At the bottom, the iQOO 15 Ultra includes a USB-C port, SIM card tray, primary microphone, and a speaker grille. The top edge features a secondary microphone, another speaker grille, and an IR blaster for controlling compatible appliances. The camera island design is noticeably different from that of the standard iQOO 15, and it also incorporates air vents at the bottom, further emphasizing the phone’s advanced thermal management.

While iQOO has yet to publish the full specifications, it has confirmed several key features. These include a 2K-resolution display with an impressive 8,000 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision support, 144FPS gaming capabilities, a dedicated Q3 gaming chip, and stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. Additionally, Geekbench listings suggest the iQOO 15 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and offer up to 16GB of RAM.
With the launch just days away, all remaining details about the iQOO 15 Ultra will be officially revealed soon.
