Are smartphone brands adding features users don’t actually need just to justify higher prices?

Absolutely. Many smartphone brands do tend to add flashy features that sound impressive on paper but rarely change the day-to-day experience for most users. Things like ultra-high megapixel cameras, extremely fast charging, or foldable screens can be exciting, but for the average user, they often don’t make a noticeable difference.

The result? Prices go up, marketing hype increases, but the actual benefit for everyday use is minimal. It’s a classic case of technology being pushed more for selling than for solving real problems.
