The next high-end smartwatch from Samsung — the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 — is reportedly in development and slated for release around July 2026.
According to recent leaks, the Ultra 2 will be developed alongside the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9, and may internally carry the codename “Galaxy Watch 9 Ultra.”
This timing aligns with Samsung’s usual summer hardware cycle — possibly coinciding with the next generation of foldable phones.
Despite a 2025 refresh model of the original Ultra getting minor updates (storage bump and new colour), major hardware upgrades are expected with Ultra 2, such as better battery, updated internals and potentially enhanced sensors / features.
