The iQOO 16 could launch in India around mid-December, according to a new leak. The smartphone was officially unveiled in China in late September, and an earlier report indicated that it would also make its way to the Indian market.

According to tipster claims shared on X, the iQOO 16 is expected to launch in India between December 15 and 17. If the reported timeline is accurate, Indian buyers will have to wait longer than they did for the previous generation.
The iQOO 15 was announced in China on October 20, 2025, before its international rollout began in India on November 26, just over five weeks later. The iQOO 16 could take approximately two and a half months to reach India after its Chinese debut.

Pricing remains uncertain. In China, the iQOO 16 starts at CNY 5,999, approximately $894. An earlier rumor suggested that its Indian price could approach INR 100,000, or around $1,039. That would represent a considerable increase over the iQOO 15, which launched in India at INR 72,999, approximately $766.
The iQOO 16 features a 6.85-inch Samsung-made M16 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, a 165Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 10,000 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Its camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. There is also a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone packs an 8,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Other features include IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, while the device runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
