vivo X500 E Could Be a Rebranded V80, New Evidence Suggests

New evidence suggests the vivo X500 E could be a rebranded version of the vivo V80 rather than a more powerful model. Earlier this year, vivo launched the X300 E as an upgraded V70, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a larger 7,200mAh battery compared with the V70’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and 6,500mAh battery.

Expectations for the X500 E were lowered after its Google Play Console listing revealed a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the same processor used in the V70 and V80. The rumored 7,500mAh battery is also only slightly larger than the V80’s 7,200mAh unit, although the reported capacity could be inaccurate.

Further evidence has emerged on Amazon Italy, where several third party cases claim compatibility with both the vivo X500 E and V80. The X300 E and V70 had similar height and width, but their thickness differed because of the X300 E’s larger battery. The similar reported battery capacities of the X500 E and V80 suggest they could share the same dimensions.

However, identical dimensions would not necessarily mean the two phones have the same internal hardware. Model numbers V2648 and V2656 have also been linked to the X500 E through Google Play Console and Bluetooth SIG listings, leaving some uncertainty about its identity.

The vivo V80 was announced earlier this month, with its 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model priced at ₹63,000 in India, equivalent to around €590. By comparison, the V70 launched at ₹46,000 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

For now, the possibility of the X500 E being a rebranded V80 appears increasingly likely, although further confirmation is still needed.
