Coolpad has launched the Cool X Wide, a widescreen smartphone similar to the Huawei Pura X View. It features a 6.38 inch LCD with HD resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Its rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera and a macro sensor. Coolpad has not yet revealed details about the selfie camera.

The Cool X Wide also packs a 4,600mAh battery, dual SIM support and a microSD card slot. It runs Android 16 out of the box.

Coolpad has listed the phone on JD.com, where preorders are already available. However, its price, release date and some specifications have yet to be announced.
