Apple has announced new and expanded partnerships with American suppliers for materials and components used in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. Nearly 100 components in the phones, from wireless chips to silicon powering key functions, are produced by US companies across more than a dozen states.

Perryman Company supplies the grade 5 titanium used in the iPhone Duo’s enclosure. Apple plans to invest up to $100 million over the next three years, supporting Perryman’s production of titanium with at least 80% recycled content. Apple is also expanding its partnership with Delaware based Qnity Electronics, which joined its American Manufacturing Program in March. Qnity will produce advanced films needed for the variable aperture system in the iPhone 18 Pro’s main camera.

Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, as part of a $1.5 billion investment announced in July. Under a multiyear agreement, the company will produce more than 15 billion chips in the US. Corning, an Apple supplier since the original iPhone launched in 2007, manufactures specialty glass, including Ceramic Shield, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. By the end of this year, all cover glass for iPhones, including the Duo, and Apple Watches sold worldwide will come from that facility.

Coherent supplies vertical cavity surface emitting laser technology from Sherman, Texas, for Face ID and other features across iPhones and iPads. This includes the redesigned Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. TSMC’s Arizona facility will produce more than 100 million chips for Apple this year, while construction continues on its north campus. Amkor, which began building a packaging and testing facility in Peoria, Arizona, in September 2025, started shell construction earlier this year, with Apple set to become one of its first customers.

Apple works with suppliers in all 50 US states and says its operations support more than 450,000 American jobs. First announced in August last year, the American Manufacturing Program forms part of Apple’s four year, $600 billion commitment to US manufacturing. The company also requires all its direct suppliers to power Apple related manufacturing with renewable energy by the end of the decade, supporting its goal of achieving carbon neutrality across its entire footprint by 2030.
