Apple is expected to unveil its long awaited smart home control hub, reportedly called HomeView, tomorrow, October 13. Ahead of the event, new details have emerged about its designs, hardware and expected availability.

The HomeView will reportedly come in two versions. The standard countertop model will feature a metal speaker base and four colour options: Space Gray, Silver, Starlight and Pink. A wall mounted version will also be available in Space Gray and Silver.

Both models are expected to use Apple’s A18 chip, also found in the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16e. Previous reports suggest the device will feature a 6 inch touchscreen, a limited selection of Apple’s own apps and no App Store for downloading additional applications. Shipments are expected to begin in mid November.

Apple is also expected to introduce an updated HomePod mini powered by the S10 chip, which is used in the Apple Watch Series 10, Series 11, Watch SE 3 and Watch Ultra 3. The speaker will reportedly be available in Pink, White, Green, Blue and Midnight.

The company is also preparing an updated Apple TV streaming box featuring the A19 chip and a redesigned remote with a built in speaker. The new HomePod mini and Apple TV are expected to begin shipping on October 30.
