Motorola’s current flagship, the Signature, launched in January, and the company is now preparing to reveal its successor, the Signature 27. After beginning teasers earlier this month, Motorola has confirmed that the new smartphone will be unveiled on September 22.

The date is also significant because Qualcomm is expected to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipsets at its Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. Motorola specifically references the event, strongly suggesting that the Signature 27 will use one of the new processors.
Motorola could even present the Signature 27 on stage during the Snapdragon Summit. It remains unclear whether the company will provide a full unveiling or simply offer another preview of the phone.

The teaser video also confirms that the Signature 27 will be available in Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive. Motorola is additionally hinting at the use of distinctive materials for the new flagship, although it has not yet revealed further details.
