Honor is continuing to build its cinematography focused identity ahead of the Magic9 series launch through its partnership with German camera maker ARRI. The Honor Magic9 Pro Max recently made a public appearance at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, further highlighting the collaboration.

Honor and ARRI have now developed a collection of filters called ARRI Look Cinematic Video. The filters can be applied with a single tap and change the color grading of videos to match the look of several ARRI cameras. Users will also be able to adjust the color temperature of their videos.

The new filters were demonstrated in a video featuring actor Xiao Zhan, who serves as the global ambassador for Honor’s flagship smartphones.

Honor will officially unveil the Magic9 series on September 28. The Magic9 Pro Max is expected to feature two 200MP cameras, with a 1/1.28 inch sensor for the main camera and a 1/1.4 inch sensor for the telephoto camera.

The Pro Max will also support a new 500mm teleconverter kit alongside the existing 200mm kit. Honor is additionally working on a Magic9 Super Edition featuring a massive 11,000mAh battery.
