Honor says the camera arrangement on the Magic9 Pro Max draws inspiration from the design language of one of ARRI’s most iconic cinema cameras. The company also says selected elements of ARRI’s image science and professional cinema workflow have been adapted for the smartphone, giving creators more flexibility while maintaining greater control during post production.

According to recent reports, the Magic9 Pro Max will feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28 inch sensor, alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.4 inch sensor. The flagship is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
