Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first foldable iPhone at an event on September 9. Ahead of the announcement, leaked pricing information from Vodafone Egypt has reportedly revealed just how expensive Apple’s upcoming devices could be.

The rumored iPhone Ultra, which is expected to be Apple’s first foldable, was spotted on Vodafone Egypt with a price of EGP 155,750 before the listing was removed. Since taxes and regional pricing vary, converting that figure directly into other currencies would not provide an accurate estimate.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at EGP 94,400 in Egypt. That would make the Ultra roughly 65% more expensive. Applying that increase to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s launch prices would put the iPhone Ultra at around $1,980 in the US, £1,980 in the UK, €2,395 in Europe and ₹247,500 in India.

That would put the Ultra in similar territory to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8, which launched at $1,900 in the US, although the difference could be much larger in some other markets.

Another report from X poster @ev_downunder claims the 256GB iPhone Ultra will cost AUD 3,700 in Australia, while the 512GB and 1TB versions will reportedly cost AUD 4,200 and AUD 4,700. The 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max costs AUD 2,200, making the rumored Ultra around 68% more expensive. Based on these figures, a $2,000 starting price in the US seems possible.

The same Vodafone Egypt leak reportedly lists the iPhone 18 Pro at EGP 98,000 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at EGP 105,000. For comparison, the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro currently costs EGP 88,800, while the 256GB Pro Max is priced at EGP 94,400.

That would represent increases of roughly 10% for the iPhone 18 Pro and 11% for the Pro Max. Using a 10% increase as an estimate, the iPhone 18 Pro could start at around $1,210, £1,210, €1,430 and ₹148,500 based on the iPhone 17 Pro’s launch prices.

The same calculation would put the iPhone 18 Pro Max at approximately $1,320, £1,320, €1,600 and ₹165,000. These figures remain speculative until Apple officially announces its pricing.

The potential price increase could be linked partly to higher component costs. TrendForce estimates that the iPhone 18 Pro’s bill of materials could be around 40% higher than the previous generation, with the 256GB model’s estimated component cost reaching $1,400.

Apple is expected to reveal the official prices for the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Ultra on September 9.
