Indian smartphone maker Lava has officially entered the UK market with the launch of the Agni 4N, marking the company’s debut in the region.

Lava describes the Agni 4N as a smartphone that brings a premium experience at a more accessible price, combining strong performance, a metal design and several AI powered features.

The Agni 4N features a metal body and a 6.67 inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The panel offers a 2,712 x 1,220 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 2,400 nits of peak brightness and support for 1.07 billion colors.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs a clean version of Android 16 and comes without advertisements or unnecessary preinstalled apps. Lava promises two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The phone also includes Lava’s Vayu AI assistant, which is built directly into the home screen and supports voice based interactions. Its features include AI agents, a text assistant, call summaries, an AI photo editor, an image generator and tools for analyzing documents and images.

For photography, the Agni 4N has a 50MP front camera and a dual camera system on the rear. The setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera offering a 112 degree field of view. Both 50MP cameras can record video in up to 4K at 60fps.

A 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone running, with support for 66W fast charging. Lava claims the battery can reach 50% from empty in around 19 minutes. However, the Amazon listing indicates that a charging adapter is not included in the box.

Other features include an in display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, NFC, dual stereo speakers and a 4,300mm² 3D VC liquid cooling system. The phone also carries an IP64 rating and features an Action Key that can be configured for more than 100 combinations using single clicks, double clicks and long presses.

The Agni 4N is essentially a UK version of the Agni 4 that launched in India last November, although the rear camera module has been redesigned and no longer carries the Agni branding. The Agni 4 originally launched at INR 24,999 and is currently priced at INR 32,999 in India.

In the UK, the Agni 4N comes in Phantom Black and Lunar Mist, with both versions featuring matte AG glass backs. Lava is offering just one configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at £499. The phone will be available through Amazon UK from September 4.

For UK customers, Lava has partnered with SBE Ltd in Ashford, Kent, to provide after sales support. Customers can contact the support team by phone or email, while service requests can also be submitted through SBE’s repair portal.

Lava is offering a mail in service alongside a two year replacement warranty covering hardware defects. The phone itself has a two year warranty, while the battery is covered for one year and the data cable for six months.
