Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A08 has received another certification ahead of its launch, revealing a significant battery increase over its predecessor.

The Galaxy A08 was recently spotted in the Google Play Console database, and it has now appeared in Brazil’s Anatel certification database. The listing reveals that the phone will feature a battery with a rated capacity of 5,830mAh, which Samsung is expected to advertise as a typical 6,000mAh capacity.

That would represent a substantial upgrade over the Galaxy A07’s 5,000mAh battery. These specifications apply to the 4G versions of the smartphones.

Aside from the larger battery, the Galaxy A08 could remain very similar to the A07. The phone is reportedly powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset and may be offered with up to 8GB of RAM.

This suggests that the Galaxy A08 4G could essentially be an updated Galaxy A07 with a much larger battery. More details should emerge as Samsung gets closer to the official launch.
