Redmi has shared additional details about its upcoming K90 Ultra ahead of the smartphone’s official debut in China. The latest announcements reveal key specifications focused on battery life, gaming performance, and display technology.

One of the headline features of the Redmi K90 Ultra is its enormous 8,550mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries ever featured in a flagship-level smartphone. The company has also confirmed support for 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly replenish the large battery capacity.
Beyond standard charging, the device supports 22.5W wired reverse charging, enabling it to power other compatible devices. Redmi has also included bypass charging technology, which can supply power directly to the phone during gaming sessions to reduce battery heat and prolong battery lifespan. According to the company, the battery incorporates a high 16% silicon content, helping improve energy density while maintaining a relatively slim profile.

The K90 Ultra will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, targeting mobile gamers and users seeking an ultra-smooth visual experience. Redmi says the panel can reach peak brightness levels of up to 3,500 nits and utilizes Samsung’s M10 luminescent material for improved brightness, efficiency, and display longevity.
Gaming remains a major focus of the device. Redmi claims the K90 Ultra will be capable of running more than 40 games at a native 165 frames per second, taking full advantage of the high-refresh-rate display.
Previously confirmed specifications include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, positioning the phone among the most powerful Android devices of its generation. Redmi has also confirmed the inclusion of an active cooling fan designed to maintain sustained performance during demanding workloads and extended gaming sessions.

On the camera side, the K90 Ultra will feature a dual-camera system on the rear, though full camera specifications have yet to be revealed.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is scheduled to launch in China on June 30, where it will compete in the growing market for performance-focused smartphones that combine flagship hardware with gaming-oriented features.
