vivo is continuing its pre-launch teaser campaign for the X Fold6, revealing key specifications including battery capacity, durability ratings, and connectivity upgrades ahead of its official unveiling next week.

According to vivo product manager Han Boxiao, the X Fold6 will feature a 7,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest capacities ever used in a foldable smartphone. The battery is built using fifth-generation silicon anode technology and third-generation semi-solid state battery design, which vivo says improves efficiency and longevity.

The company claims the X Fold6 can deliver up to 9.8 hours of heavy usage on a single charge, representing a 30% improvement compared to the previous X Fold5 model.

Durability has also been significantly upgraded. The X Fold6 will carry IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings, offering stronger protection against water exposure than typical foldable devices. vivo has also confirmed an upgraded hinge design aimed at improving long-term durability and structural stability.

In addition to battery and durability improvements, vivo is enhancing connectivity on the X Fold6 with improved Wi-Fi performance and upgraded signal amplification antennas designed to improve network reliability in challenging environments.

The company has also revealed the official color lineup. The X Fold6 will be available in Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night finishes, along with a special Black Gold Edition featuring gold-accented detailing.

Under the hood, the foldable will be powered by a special edition Dimensity 9500 chipset and will feature an 8.02-inch internal folding display. Imaging is led by a 200MP primary rear camera, and the device will run OriginOS 6 Fold out of the box.

The vivo X Fold6 is scheduled for launch in China on June 26, where it is expected to be one of the brand’s most advanced foldable smartphones to date.
