Samsung Could Raise Smartphone Prices in Europe as RAM Costs Continue to Climb

Samsung may soon increase smartphone prices across Europe as rising memory component costs continue to put pressure on manufacturers.

According to a new report from Greece, Samsung is expected to introduce price increases starting in June, with several premium smartphones potentially becoming around €100 more expensive than current pricing.

The rumored increase is said to affect devices in the Samsung Galaxy S series as well as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7.

At the moment, it remains unclear whether the reported price hike would apply only to entry-level storage variants or extend across the full lineup. However, higher-capacity models are also expected to see price adjustments if the increase goes ahead.

Until now, many major smartphone manufacturers, including Samsung and Apple, have largely managed to absorb rising RAM and storage costs internally through supply chain optimization and cost-cutting measures elsewhere in production.

That strategy may no longer be sustainable as memory prices continue to rise globally. Industry analysts have already warned of increased electronics pricing during the second half of the year due to ongoing memory shortages and supply constraints.

If Samsung proceeds with the rumored increases, it is unlikely to be the only manufacturer passing higher component costs onto consumers, meaning broader smartphone price increases across the industry could follow later this year.
