Samsung has unexpectedly raised the price of its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 in the United States, despite the device nearing the end of its lifecycle with a successor expected soon.

Originally launched with three storage options, the updated pricing now looks like this:

256GB: remains at $2,000

512GB: now $2,200 (up from $2,120)

1TB: now $2,500 (up from $2,420)


Instead of the typical price drops seen before a new model arrives, Samsung has gone in the opposite direction—raising prices on the higher storage variants.

This move could be tied to rising component costs, which continue to impact the pricing of premium devices, especially foldables. It also hints that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8—expected later this year—might launch at an even higher price point for similar configurations.

For buyers in the US, this means waiting for the next model might not necessarily save money, and the cost of entry into Samsung’s foldable lineup remains firmly in ultra-premium territory.
