vivo V70 and V70 Elite Camera Sensors and Colors Officially Confirmed

vivo has officially confirmed new details about its upcoming V70 series, shedding more light on the camera hardware and color options for the V70 and V70 Elite. Following yesterday’s announcement of their price segments and key specifications, the brand has now clarified exactly how the two models will differ in terms of design finishes and imaging sensors.

Starting with colors, both the vivo V70 and the V70 Elite will be available in Passion Red, which appears to be positioned as the signature color for the lineup. The standard V70 will additionally be offered in Lemon Yellow, making it the more vibrant of the two in terms of color choices. Meanwhile, the V70 Elite will come in Sand Beige and Authentic Black, giving the higher-end model a more premium and understated look. In total, the V70 will launch in two colors, while the V70 Elite will be available in three.

On the camera front, vivo has confirmed that both smartphones will feature a 50MP “ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera” using Sony’s IMX882 sensor. This suggests that low-light zoom photography will be a key focus of the V70 series, continuing vivo’s emphasis on portrait and night imaging. The primary 50MP camera on both devices will use the Sony IMX766 sensor and is also co-developed with ZEISS, reinforcing vivo’s long-standing collaboration with the optics brand.

According to vivo, the V70 series will feature a total of four cameras that are co-developed with ZEISS, although full details about the remaining sensors have not yet been disclosed. Based on vivo’s recent launches, users can expect a mix of ultra-wide and front-facing cameras tuned for portrait photography and color accuracy.

In terms of performance, vivo has already confirmed that the V70 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, targeting the upper mid-range segment. The V70 Elite, on the other hand, will be driven by the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, placing it closer to flagship territory in terms of raw performance and sustained workloads.

While vivo has not officially announced the launch date for the V70 series, the company has stated that both smartphones will be priced under INR 50,000 in India. Based on industry expectations, the vivo V70 and V70 Elite are likely to debut in the Indian market between February 16 and February 19, 2026.

Separately, vivo recently introduced the X200T, which is set to go on sale in India starting February 3. First impressions of the vivo X200T are already available, offering a glimpse into the company’s current design language and camera priorities ahead of the V70 series launch.
