Realme has officially introduced the Realme 16, completing the lineup that already includes the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. The non-Pro model was unveiled in Vietnam and is expected to roll out to additional markets in the coming weeks, offering a slightly different design approach and a strong focus on battery life and durability.

Unlike the Pro variants, the Realme 16 adopts what the brand calls an “Air Design.” The look is clearly inspired by recent minimalist trends seen on devices like the iPhone Air and Google Pixel phones, particularly through the prominent camera visor on the back. This design choice gives the Realme 16 a more premium and contemporary appearance compared to its siblings.

The rear camera module houses a 50MP primary camera using Sony’s IMX852 sensor, paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor. Realme also includes its LumaColor image processing technology, which aims to improve color accuracy and overall image quality. A unique addition is the small selfie mirror placed near the camera visor, allowing users to take higher-quality selfies using the main rear camera.
On the front, the Realme 16 features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor use, and is protected by AGC DT-Star D+ tempered glass. The display integrates a 50MP front-facing camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is still relatively rare in this segment.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. This setup is designed to handle everyday tasks, multitasking, and gaming with ease, positioning the Realme 16 as a solid upper-midrange option.
Despite its large battery, the phone maintains a relatively slim profile at 8.1mm thick and weighs 183 grams. One of its standout features is durability, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, offering extensive protection against dust, water, and high-pressure sprays.

The Realme 16 is equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery, supported by 60W fast charging, which should comfortably deliver multi-day battery life for most users. The phone is available in White Swan and Black Cloud color options.
In Vietnam, pricing starts at VND 11,490,000 (around $443) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at VND 12,490,000 (around $481). With its combination of modern design, large battery, and strong durability ratings, the Realme 16 positions itself as a compelling alternative to its Pro counterparts.
