Samsung has wrapped up 2025 with its strongest financial performance ever, reporting record-breaking revenue and profit in the fourth quarter. The company achieved KRW 93.8 trillion in quarterly revenue and an all-time high operating profit of KRW 20.1 trillion, driven largely by its booming semiconductor and memory businesses.

For the full year 2025, Samsung posted KRW 333.6 trillion in revenue and KRW 43.6 trillion in operating profit. The standout performer was the Device Solutions (DS) division, which recorded a 33% quarter-on-quarter sales increase. Its Memory Business hit record quarterly revenue and profit, supported by strong demand for conventional DRAM, growing adoption of HBM for AI workloads, and higher sales of server DDR5 memory and enterprise SSDs. In Q4 alone, the DS division generated KRW 44.0 trillion in revenue and KRW 16.4 trillion in operating profit.

Samsung expects this momentum to continue into Q1 2026 as it begins shipping HBM4 memory, targeting speeds of up to 11.7Gbps. The company also plans to expand deliveries of DDR5, GDDR7, SOCAMM2, and NAND storage, all of which play a key role in AI servers and data centers.
The Mobile Experience (MX) and Networks businesses reported KRW 29.3 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 1.9 trillion in operating profit for Q4. Although smartphone shipments declined during the quarter due to seasonal factors, Samsung achieved double-digit annual profit growth in 2025 thanks to strong flagship sales and steady demand for tablets and wearables. The company is betting on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, AI-driven features, and slimmer, lighter device designs to fuel growth in 2026.

Other divisions also contributed positively. Samsung’s foundry business began mass production of first-generation 2nm chips and plans to introduce second-generation 2nm nodes later this year. The System LSI division saw profits dip due to weak seasonal demand, but rising sales of 200MP and 50MP camera sensors helped offset the slowdown, with a rebound expected in early 2026.
Overall, Samsung’s Q4 2025 results highlight the company’s strong positioning in memory, AI infrastructure, and premium consumer electronics as it heads into 2026 with solid momentum.
