Redmi has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Turbo 5 series smartphones in China. According to a Weibo announcement, the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be unveiled on January 29. The launch event will also see the debut of new ecosystem products, including the Redmi Buds 8 Pro and a special Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition, expanding the brand’s premium lineup for early 2026.

Alongside the launch date, Redmi has shared several design details for the Turbo 5 series. Both models will feature a CNC-machined metal frame with rounded corners, giving the devices a refined and durable feel. The phones will also use a fiberglass rear panel and include a dual LED flash setup, suggesting a focus on both aesthetics and practical everyday use.

Redmi has also highlighted the Turbo 5 Max variant, revealing it in an eye-catching orange finish. The device will be available in Ocean Breeze Blue and Sunrise Orange color options. Under the hood, the Turbo 5 Max will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and backed by a massive 9,000mAh battery, with support for 100W wired fast charging, positioning it as a performance-focused smartphone with strong battery endurance.
