Google expands Gemini AI into consumer devices, raising privacy and performance questions

Google’s Gemini AI platform, previously focused on cloud services, is reportedly expanding into consumer devices, including Chromebooks and smart displays. However, the expansion also raises hardware requirements, as processing advanced models on-device requires modern CPUs, NPUs, and ample memory bandwidth.
