ZTE’s Nubia brand has officially unveiled its first book-style foldable, the nubia Fold, following last week’s leaked renders. The device has gone live on Y!mobile Japan, confirming its full design, hardware, and pricing.

Big Displays, Slim Body

The nubia Fold features an 8-inch flexible AMOLED main display (2,480 × 2,200) paired with a 6.5-inch cover screen (2,748 × 1,172). Both support a fast 120Hz refresh rate, and the main screen includes optimized split-view modes for multitasking.
Despite its large panels, the phone measures just 5.4mm when unfolded and 11.1mm when folded, coming in at 249 grams—fairly lightweight for a full-size foldable.

Flagship Performance
Powering the foldable is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs Android 15 out of the box and includes IP54 protection, giving it resistance to dust and light splashes.

On the back, the nubia Fold carries:

For video calls and selfies, users get dual 20MP front cameras—one on the main screen and one on the cover display.

A large 6,560mAh battery powers the device, backed by 55W fast charging, which should deliver strong endurance compared to most foldables.

Price & Availability

The nubia Fold is offered in a single black color at JPY 178,560 (around $1,145). It launches in Japan on December 4, with global availability expected sometime in 2026.
