Realme launched the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ in January, and early details about their successors are now emerging. A tipster on X has shared key specifications of an upcoming Realme smartphone believed to be either the Realme 17 Pro or Realme 17 Pro+.

According to the leak, the device will feature a flat 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that can reach 165Hz in certain games. Other reported specifications include a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset, a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, an ultrawide camera with an unspecified resolution, and a massive 10,000mAh battery.

The phone is also said to feature a plastic frame, while its rear camera module will reportedly look similar to the one on the Realme 16 Pro+.

Compared with the Realme 16 Pro+, the leaked specifications suggest a move from a curved display to a flat panel, an aluminium frame to plastic, and a significant battery increase from 7,000mAh to 10,000mAh. The Realme 16 Pro+ uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, making the reported Dimensity 7500 a potential change in processor strategy.

However, the chipset and plastic frame could indicate that the leaked device is the standard Realme 17 Pro rather than the Pro+ model. The Realme 16 Pro does not have a telephoto camera, so the addition of a 50MP telephoto sensor with 3.5x optical zoom would represent a substantial upgrade if the leak concerns its successor.

Realme has not officially confirmed the specifications or identified which model the device belongs to. More details are expected to emerge as the launch approaches.
