Huawei has officially confirmed the Pura 90 Plus and opened preorders in China ahead of its October 28 launch. Although the company has yet to announce the full specifications, live images from its retail stores have revealed key hardware details, including its processor.

The About Phone screen on a display unit lists the Kirin 9025 chipset, 12GB of RAM, a 2,848 x 1,276 display resolution, HarmonyOS 7, and the LCI AL00 model number. The Pura 90 Plus is the first smartphone to feature the Kirin 9025, which a tipster claims is an overclocked version of the Kirin 9020. Other images reveal curved sides and a triangular camera module in Sunset Purple.

Another tipster claims the Pura 90 Plus delivers a 19% improvement in overall performance compared with the Pura 80 Pro, which uses the Kirin 9020. The same source says the Kirin 9025 performs similarly to the Kirin 9030S found in the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max. However, independent benchmarks will be needed to verify these performance claims.

The Pura 90 Plus is reportedly equipped with a 6.8 inch curved 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. An earlier leak also pointed to a 50MP main camera with a 1 inch type RYYB sensor and variable aperture.

Huawei has confirmed that the phone will come with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Available colours will include Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple, and Snowy White.

Many of the reported specifications resemble those of the Pura 80 Pro, which also features a 6.8 inch display with a 2,848 x 1,276 resolution and a 50MP main camera with a 1 inch type sensor and variable aperture.

Huawei will reveal the remaining details, including pricing, when the Pura 90 Plus officially launches in China on October 28.
