Apple Pulls Forward iPhone Duo Delivery Dates for Some Buyers

Demand for Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, pushed estimated shipping dates back to January 22 in several markets shortly after preorders opened. However, multiple buyers are now reporting that their delivery estimates have been moved forward.

According to Gizmodo’s Ray Wong, several users in Japan have seen their original November and December delivery estimates changed to October 23, the phone’s official launch date.

Reports from a discussion on Reddit also suggest that buyers in other regions are receiving earlier delivery dates. One customer saw their estimated delivery window move from December 2 to 9 to November 17 to 24. Others reported even bigger changes, with January 25 estimates moved to November 24 or November 16 to 23.

However, not every buyer has received good news. Some delivery estimates remain unchanged, while one customer reported their expected November 30 delivery being pushed back to December 7.

Apple’s online store still lists January 22 as the shipping date. US carrier estimates also vary, with AT&T showing December 3, Verizon December 4, and T Mobile December 29 to January 6.

The changes are being reported across different regions, retailers and carriers. It remains unclear whether Apple has increased production or whether initial demand was lower than first anticipated. Still, some buyers could receive their iPhone Duo earlier than expected.
