The iQOO 16 became official in China earlier this week, and the flagship could soon make its way to India. A tipster on X claims the phone has started testing procedures in India, suggesting an Indian launch could take place in the coming weeks.

The bigger question is how much the iQOO 16 will cost in India. In China, the phone starts at CNY 5,999, equivalent to around INR 86,000 or $894.
However, the tipster claims the Indian price could be closer to INR 100,000, or $1,039. That would make it a considerably tougher sell, particularly since the previous iQOO 15 launched in India at INR 72,999, or $759, just a year ago.
The iQOO 16 does offer flagship specifications. It features a 6.85 inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with a 1440 x 3168 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and 10,000 nit peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and comes with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, alongside 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage.

For photography, it has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and a 32MP selfie camera. Power comes from an 8,400mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. The phone runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7.
