Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds On in South Korea, just one day after leaked images of the company’s first clip on earphones appeared online.

The Galaxy Buds On feature a clip type design that Samsung says is comfortable for extended use, including during outdoor activities such as running. Their open design also allows users to stay aware of their surroundings.
The earphones support touch controls for music playback and calls, with sensors positioned on the back of the buds.

The Galaxy Buds On are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 chipset and a Class D amplifier. Samsung says they can provide up to 9.5 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
For calls, the earphones feature three microphones and a bone conduction based vibration sensor that detects when the user is speaking, helping reduce background noise.
When paired with a Galaxy smartphone or tablet featuring Galaxy AI, users can activate the assistant and perform various actions. The earphones also support Gemini Live.

The Galaxy Buds On include Head Gestures, allowing users to answer or end calls, check notifications, cancel alarms, and perform other actions through gestures.
The Galaxy Buds On cost KRW 299,999, around $220, and will go on sale in South Korea from October 27. Samsung says they will also launch in other regions in phases.
