MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 9600 Pro, its latest flagship smartphone chipset built on a 2nm process. While Oppo has already confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max will use the new chip, it will not be the first smartphone to officially launch with it.

vivo will beat Oppo by one day, as the company is set to launch the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max on September 21. Oppo will unveil the Find X10 Pro Max on September 22, making the vivo X500 Pro series the first smartphones to be officially announced with the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
vivo confirmed the news through its official Weibo account, highlighting the early arrival of its new flagship phones.

The company also revealed several imaging features coming to the X500 Pro series. The phones will support 4K 120fps 10 bit Log video recording and output, along with a high performance imaging NPU 2.0 that enables what vivo describes as industry leading 60fps autofocus.
The X500 Pro series will also feature a self developed imaging chip designed to deliver industry leading 4K Dolby Vision portrait video, as well as a new high performance AI processor.
