Apple is introducing a new iOS 27 feature called iPhone Handoff that allows one phone number to be used across two iPhones. The feature will be available when iOS 27 rolls out on Monday and was announced during the launch event for the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo.

Apple initially confirmed that iPhone Handoff would be available through T Mobile in the US and Telekom in Germany. T Mobile has now revealed that customers will pay $5 per month to use the feature.

iPhone Handoff allows one T Mobile number to be used on two iPhones, although the number can only be active on one device at a time. Users will be able to set up the feature through the Settings app on any compatible iPhone running iOS 27.

The feature will also work on the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo from the moment they are activated, as all three devices ship with iOS 27 installed.
