Huawei has announced the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro as its latest flagship smartwatches, while also bringing the Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro to global markets. The company also introduced the Watch D3 and FreeBuds Neo at the same event.

The Huawei Watch 6 comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes, while the Watch 6 Pro is available in 43mm and 46mm versions. The 42mm Watch 6 weighs just 38g without its strap, making it the lightest model in the series.
Huawei uses different materials across the lineup. The standard Watch 6 models come with aluminum alloy or stainless steel cases, while the 46mm Watch 6 Pro Space Edition, Silver and Brown variants use titanium. The 43mm Ceramic Edition and White models feature nanotech ceramic construction.

All Watch 6 models feature LTPO OLED touchscreens protected by sapphire glass. The standard Watch 6 reaches 3,000 nits of peak brightness, while the Watch 6 Pro increases that to 3,500 nits. Optional eSIM versions are also available across the lineup.
A new wrist flick gesture lets users quickly silence incoming calls and alarms. Huawei is also adding double tap and double slide pinch gestures for functions such as answering calls and controlling the paired phone camera. The watches support connections with both iOS and Android devices, including dual phone connectivity.

Huawei’s Health Insights feature analyzes daily health and activity data to identify long term wellness trends and offer recovery recommendations. Health monitoring includes heart rate, SpO2, sleep, ECG and HRV tracking, alongside sleep breathing awareness, pulse wave arrhythmia analysis and arterial stiffness detection.
The X Tap sensor from the Watch 5 series also returns, supporting simultaneous measurements of several health metrics. It now supports studies related to hypertension, diabetes and coronary heart disease risk, bringing the total to 14 health metrics. Huawei says sensitivity has increased by 100%, while the sensor has expanded from four to 12 channels.
More than 100 sports modes are supported, including professional modes for skiing, cycling and golf. A new AI workout analysis feature provides information about workout load and key metrics, along with recovery advice. The Watch 6 Pro also gains the Expedition app, offering waypoint markers, offline color maps, health information and return navigation.

Battery life ranges from three days of typical use on the 42mm and 43mm models to seven days with battery saver enabled. The 46mm versions offer up to 4.5 days of typical use and up to 11 days in battery saver mode.
The Huawei Watch 6 starts at £399.99, while the Watch 6 Pro starts at £599.99. Both models will be available from September 23.

Huawei Watch GT 7 series goes global
The global Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro are identical to the versions launched in China last month. The Watch GT 7 comes in 41mm and 46mm sizes, while the GT 7 Pro is available only in 46mm.
Depending on the case size, the watches feature either a 1.32 inch or 1.47 inch AMOLED touchscreen with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

The Watch GT 7 uses a stainless steel case with a fiber composite rear panel, while the GT 7 Pro combines a titanium alloy case with a nanocrystalline ceramic back. Huawei is also introducing new color options and an updated tuck under strap design.
Both watches feature optical heart rate and skin temperature sensors, while the GT 7 Pro adds ECG functionality. Sports tracking has also been expanded for cycling, skiing and golf, with Huawei claiming more than 50% better positioning accuracy in skiing mode.

The Watch GT 7 offers up to seven days of battery life in its 41mm version, while the 46mm GT 7 and GT 7 Pro can last up to 12 days. With lighter usage, those figures increase to 14 and 21 days respectively. The larger models can also provide up to 51 hours of continuous GPS tracking in running mode.
The Huawei Watch GT 7 starts at £279.99, while the Watch GT 7 Pro starts at £379.99. Huawei is also offering a £50 discount on orders placed until October 13.
