Lava has officially confirmed that the first smartphone in its new Virat series will be the Lava Virat V1. The device is set to launch in India on July 21 at 12 PM local time and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart.

The announcement follows Lava’s recent partnership with Flipkart, with the new Virat lineup positioned as a major addition to the company’s smartphone portfolio.

Promotional teasers have revealed the design of the Virat V1, showcasing a rear panel with a squircle shaped camera module. The camera island houses a dual camera setup, with the primary camera featuring a 13MP sensor.

The smartphone will be available in multiple color options, which were highlighted in Lava’s official teaser videos ahead of launch.

The Virat V1 will support 5G connectivity and retain a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that continues to be appreciated by many users despite becoming less common in modern smartphones.

Teaser material also suggests that the device will come with an IP rating for dust and water resistance, although the exact certification level has not yet been disclosed.

Lava is expected to reveal additional specifications, pricing details, and availability information in the days leading up to the official launch event on July 21.
