vivo has officially introduced the TWS 5 Pro alongside the launch of the X Fold6 in China, bringing a feature-packed set of premium wireless earbuds aimed at audio enthusiasts and power users.

While the earbuds maintain a relatively understated appearance, their internal hardware and feature set place them firmly in the high-end segment.

The vivo TWS 5 Pro uses a dual-driver acoustic system that combines a custom ultra-miniature balanced armature developed in collaboration with Knowles and a self-developed dual-ring dynamic driver. Both drivers are arranged in a coaxial acoustic structure designed to align high and low-frequency acoustic centers for improved sound consistency and accuracy.

According to vivo, the earbuds deliver a frequency response range extending from 16Hz to 60kHz, allowing them to reproduce both deep bass and highly detailed high-frequency sounds.

Audio performance is further enhanced by a custom Hi-Fi DAC developed with Cirrus Logic, offering a dynamic range of 113dB. The earbuds support native 96kHz/24-bit audio playback and can transmit lossless audio at speeds of up to 4.6Mbps over Wi-Fi.

The TWS 5 Pro also supports LE Audio technology, ISOC architecture, and the LC3 codec. For gamers, latency can be reduced to as little as 42 milliseconds, helping deliver a more responsive audio experience during gameplay.

Noise cancellation is another major focus. The earbuds feature a four-microphone array combined with Deep Sea Smart Noise Cancellation 2.0. vivo claims up to 60dB of active noise cancellation with a noise reduction bandwidth of up to 5,500Hz and suppression of up to 99.9% of everyday environmental noise.

Users can choose from dedicated noise cancellation modes tailored for airplanes, subway travel, and buses, while adaptive ANC and transparency modes automatically adjust to changing environments. Additional listening modes include Sleep Aid Mode and Immersion Mode.

For voice calls, the earbuds incorporate a VPU bone-conduction microphone system capable of reducing environmental call noise by up to 100dB and wind noise by up to 99%.

The vivo TWS 5 Pro supports connections to up to three devices simultaneously and includes pressure-sensitive touch controls with customizable gestures. Users can manage playback, answer calls, switch ANC modes, and adjust volume through slide gestures. The earbuds also carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Battery performance is equally impressive. The earbuds support both wireless charging and fast charging, with vivo claiming that a five-minute charge can provide up to two hours of listening time.

In terms of total endurance, users can expect up to five hours of playback when using Wi-Fi audio mode and up to eleven hours in AAC Bluetooth mode. Combined with the charging case, total battery life can reach as much as fifty hours.

Beyond audio and battery performance, the TWS 5 Pro includes an extensive list of smart features. These include Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, spatial audio with multiple environment simulations, adaptive audio tuning, personalized sound profiles, a customizable 10-band equalizer, smart translation functions, AI-powered notifications, remote camera control, voice commands, wear detection, find-my-earbuds functionality, incoming call announcements, wireless karaoke audio return, and AI-generated custom connection animations.
