New regulatory documents have provided strong confirmation regarding the processor that will power Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 in the United States.

The foldable smartphone was certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) earlier this month, and a closer examination of the published documentation has revealed details about the device’s chipset. The discovery effectively confirms that US buyers of the Galaxy Z Flip8 will receive Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, delivering top-tier performance and AI capabilities.

Previous reports have suggested that Samsung may continue its dual-chip strategy for the device. According to those claims, South Korea and parts of Europe could receive variants equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor, while most other global markets would use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Beyond the chipset, several details about the Galaxy Z Flip8 have already surfaced through leaks and industry reports. The device is expected to feature an improved hinge mechanism designed to significantly reduce or eliminate the visible display crease that has long been associated with foldable smartphones.

Samsung is also rumored to offer the Galaxy Z Flip8 in four color options: Cream, Graphite, Mint, and Pink. Storage configurations are expected to include 256GB and 512GB variants.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is widely expected to debut alongside Samsung’s next-generation foldable lineup during a launch event rumored to take place in July. As the announcement draws closer, regulatory filings and certification documents continue to reveal additional details about Samsung’s upcoming flagship foldable devices.
