A new leak has revealed additional details about Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi 18, which is expected to launch in September.

According to information shared by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 18 will feature a 6.4-inch flat display, slightly larger than the 6.3-inch panel used on the Xiaomi 17. Despite the increase in size, the phone is said to retain the same 19.5:9 aspect ratio while introducing even slimmer bezels and more rounded display corners.

The screen is also rumored to receive a resolution boost. Unlike its predecessor, the Xiaomi 18 could ship with a “2K” display, offering sharper visuals and improved image quality for gaming, media consumption, and everyday use.

The biggest upgrade may come in the battery department. The leak claims the Xiaomi 18’s battery capacity will begin with the number seven, suggesting a cell somewhere between 7,000mAh and 7,999mAh. Some industry watchers speculate it could reach 7,800mAh, which would represent a huge jump from the Xiaomi 17’s already sizable 6,330mAh battery.

If accurate, Xiaomi could deliver one of the largest batteries ever seen in a mainstream flagship smartphone while maintaining a relatively compact form factor.

The leak also touched on the higher-end models in the lineup. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are reportedly being developed with dual 200MP camera systems, featuring both a 200MP main sensor and a 200MP telephoto camera.

As for the standard Xiaomi 18, previous rumors suggested it may receive a 200MP telephoto camera while retaining a 50MP primary sensor similar to the Xiaomi 17. However, the latest leak did not provide any new information regarding the device’s camera setup.

With a sharper display, potentially class-leading battery capacity, and flagship hardware expected throughout the lineup, the Xiaomi 18 series is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious smartphone releases of 2026. More details are likely to emerge as Xiaomi’s expected September launch window approaches.
