Apple has announced plans to strengthen its support for developers across Europe by opening its first dedicated Apple Developer Center on the continent. The new facility will be located in Berlin’s Mitte district and is scheduled to open later this year.

The Berlin center will become Apple’s fifth Developer Center globally, joining existing locations in Bengaluru, Cupertino, Shanghai, and Singapore. The move highlights Apple’s growing focus on fostering relationships with developers in Europe and providing them with direct access to educational resources, technical guidance, and hands-on support.
The new facility will serve as a hub where developers can participate in workshops covering Apple’s broad ecosystem of platforms. Attendees will have opportunities to learn more about developing applications for iPhone and iOS, iPad and iPadOS, Mac and macOS, Apple Watch and watchOS, Apple TV and tvOS, as well as Apple’s Vision Pro headset and visionOS platform.

Beyond group sessions and training programs, the center will also offer more personalized support. Developers will be able to schedule one-on-one appointments with Apple experts to receive guidance on specific projects, technical challenges, and platform optimization. Apple says the facility will include dedicated consultation areas and specialized labs designed to help developers build, test, and refine their applications.
According to Apple, the Berlin center will feature experts capable of supporting developers in multiple languages, helping make the facility accessible to a broad range of European creators and businesses.

The announcement builds on Apple’s existing educational initiatives in Europe. The company already operates the Apple Developer Academy in Naples, Italy, which has trained thousands of aspiring developers since its launch. Apple also runs Foundation Programs in both Italy and France, providing additional pathways for students and professionals interested in app development and software engineering.
Developers may also benefit from programs such as the App Store Small Business Program, which offers eligible developers a reduced commission rate of 15% on digital sales. The program is available to businesses generating less than $1 million in annual revenue through the App Store, helping smaller developers retain more of their earnings while growing their products.
Apple used the announcement to highlight the scale of its ecosystem in the region. According to the company, App Store services across Europe reached an average of 150 million weekly users during the previous year, demonstrating the significant audience available to developers building for Apple platforms.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, emphasized the importance of Europe’s developer community in the company’s ecosystem.
She noted that developers across Europe continue to create applications that encourage creativity, build connections, and drive innovation. Prescott added that Apple believes providing developers with the right tools, resources, and support enables them to create exceptional products, and the new Berlin Developer Center is intended to further that mission.
With its combination of workshops, expert guidance, testing facilities, and educational resources, the Berlin Developer Center is expected to become an important resource for developers across Europe when it opens later this year.
