Spotify has launched a new feature that allows users to create, save, and share clips from podcast episodes directly through its mobile app.

The new Clips feature adds a dedicated clip icon to the podcast playback screen. Once selected, users can trim a specific segment from an episode and save it to their library for quick access later.

Saved clips can also be shared with other users through Spotify’s built-in messaging system or sent through external platforms such as social media and messaging apps.

According to Spotify, the feature is currently rolling out globally for both free and Premium users, though it is only available on mobile devices for now.

At launch, Clips support is limited to select podcasts, but Spotify says availability will gradually expand to more shows over time.

The addition of podcast clipping continues Spotify’s push toward making podcasts more interactive and shareable, especially as short-form audio and video snippets become increasingly popular across social media platforms.
