HMD has officially launched the HMD Vibe 2 5G in India, introducing several upgrades over its predecessor, the HMD Vibe, which debuted in September 2025.
The new smartphone features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz panels commonly found in the budget segment.
Powering the HMD Vibe 2 5G is the Unisoc T8200 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users also get support for expandable storage through a microSD card slot, allowing expansion up to 1TB.

For photography, the handset includes a 50MP primary rear camera accompanied by an additional auxiliary lens, although HMD has not disclosed details about the secondary sensor. On the front, the phone is equipped with an 8MP selfie camera.
One of the biggest upgrades comes in the battery department. The HMD Vibe 2 5G packs a large 6,000mAh battery designed for extended usage, though charging speeds are limited to 18W wired charging.
The smartphone ships with Android 16 out of the box and is promised to receive two years of security updates.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.
HMD is offering the device in Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink color options.

Pricing for the HMD Vibe 2 5G starts at INR 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB + 128GB model is priced at INR 11,999. The smartphone will go on sale through Flipkart starting May 26.
