Xiaomi has officially announced that its upcoming Xiaomi 17T series will launch on May 28, ending weeks of speculation surrounding the new devices. The company described the upcoming release as “the biggest T Series upgrade yet,” hinting at major improvements across performance, display, cameras, and battery life.
The lineup is expected to include the standard Xiaomi 17T and the higher-end Xiaomi 17T Pro, both powered by MediaTek chipsets. Current leaks suggest the regular model will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, while the Pro variant is rumored to debut with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.

Display upgrades appear to be a major focus this year. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to arrive with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the standard 17T is rumored to feature a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the camera side, both phones are expected to feature 50MP primary sensors, though different hardware may separate the two models. The Xiaomi 17T is rumored to use a Light Fusion 800 sensor, while the Pro variant could feature the more advanced Light Fusion 950 sensor. Reports also suggest both devices will share a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom alongside a 12MP ultrawide lens.

Battery capacity is also expected to increase significantly. The standard Xiaomi 17T is rumored to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 67W wired charging support. The 17T Pro, however, could raise the bar further with a massive 7,000mAh battery, alongside 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
Pricing leaks indicate that the Xiaomi 17T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage may start at €749 in Europe, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is expected to start at €999.
With flagship-level chipsets, larger batteries, upgraded displays, and improved camera hardware, Xiaomi appears to be positioning the 17T series as one of its most ambitious T-series launches to date.
