Lenovo has shared new details about its upcoming smartphone, the Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026), as it prepares for an official launch in China on May 19. The device marks the company’s renewed push into the smartphone market following its earlier confirmation of a comeback with an upgraded Legion series model.

The Legion Y70 is expected to adopt a design inspired by Motorola, and it will be offered in two color variants. While Lenovo has not officially confirmed the processor, the device is widely expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen-series chipset, positioning it firmly in the flagship category.

Teasers shared on Weibo reveal that the phone will feature a 2K resolution display, which Lenovo claims is more power-efficient than many 1.5K panels currently available. This suggests a focus not only on visual quality but also on optimizing battery performance despite the higher resolution.

One of the standout features of the Legion Y70 is its massive 8,000mAh battery, which is said to maintain performance for over 1,200 charge cycles. This could make it one of the more endurance-focused devices in its segment, particularly for users who prioritize long battery life.

Lenovo has also confirmed the inclusion of a large 5,500mm² vapor chamber for improved thermal management, indicating that sustained performance under heavy workloads—such as gaming—will be a key focus. In addition, the phone will feature an enhanced antenna system designed to improve overall connectivity.

The teasers further highlight the inclusion of multiple AI-driven features, although specific use cases have not yet been detailed. On the camera front, the Legion Y70 will come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, adding versatility for photography.

With its combination of high-end specifications and gaming-focused enhancements, the Legion Y70 is shaping up to be a significant entry in Lenovo’s smartphone comeback, with more details expected at its official unveiling later this month.
