Intel has officially introduced its new Intel Core Series 3 processors, aimed at delivering solid performance for more affordable laptops.

Positioned below the premium Core Ultra lineup, these new chips are designed for everyday users and small businesses—especially those upgrading from older systems. Intel claims noticeable gains compared to a five-year-old machine powered by the Intel Core i7-1185G7, including up to 47% better single-core performance, 41% better multi-core performance, and significantly improved AI and graphics capabilities.
The Core Series 3 lineup is built on Intel’s advanced 18A process node and marks the company’s first “hybrid AI-ready” processors in this category. These chips can handle AI workloads with up to 40 TOPS of performance, reflecting the growing importance of on-device AI.
Beyond raw performance, the new processors come packed with modern connectivity features like Thunderbolt 4, Bluetooth 6, and Wi-Fi 7. They’re also optimized for efficiency, with Intel promising up to 64% lower processor power consumption compared to previous-generation chips.

The lineup includes several models, ranging from Core 3 to Core 7 variants, most of which feature six cores (with the entry-level option having five). Clock speeds go as high as 4.8GHz, and all models support LPDDR5/X and DDR5 memory, with capacities reaching up to 64GB.
Laptops powered by these processors are already rolling out, with over 70 designs expected from major brands like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and more.
