The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is now official, bringing a combination of flagship-level durability, a powerful MediaTek chipset, and a massive battery to the premium midrange segment. As the top model in the Camon 50 series, it builds on the Pro variant with improved protection, upgraded performance, and a versatile triple-camera system.

Up front, the Camon 50 Ultra 5G features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The panel supports HDR10 for enhanced contrast and richer colors, making it ideal for streaming and gaming. Protection is handled by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering improved resistance against scratches and accidental drops. An under-display optical fingerprint scanner is integrated seamlessly for quick and secure unlocking.
At the rear, the phone retains a similar design language to the Camon 50 Pro, including a familiar camera module layout. The triple-camera setup consists of a 50MP primary wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS support, and an 8MP ultrawide camera for broader shots. For selfies, Tecno includes a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus, ensuring sharp and detailed self-portraits and video calls.

The device features a premium glass sandwich design with curved edges for a comfortable in-hand feel. The rear panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, adding another layer of durability. Beyond glass protection, the phone carries MIL-STD-810 certification for enhanced toughness and boasts up to an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance, positioning it as one of the more rugged options in its class.
Powering the device is a large 6,500mAh battery, designed to easily last through heavy daily usage. It supports 45W wired fast charging and also includes bypass charging, which helps reduce heat buildup during extended gaming sessions. Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage to deliver smooth multitasking and reliable 5G performance.

On the software side, the Camon 50 Ultra 5G runs Android 16-based HiOS 16 out of the box. Tecno promises up to three major Android OS upgrades, adding long-term value for buyers. Additional features include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, an infrared blaster, dual stereo speakers, and even an FM radio.
While official pricing and availability details are yet to be confirmed, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is expected to start at around €400 in the European market. It will be available in multiple color options, including Orange, Green, Purple, and Black, giving users a variety of stylish choices.
