Infinix Note Edge 5G Debuts in India with 6,500mAh Battery, Dimensity 7100, and 120Hz Curved AMOLED Display

The Infinix Note Edge 5G has officially launched in India after making its global debut last month, bringing a large battery, a curved AMOLED display, and a new MediaTek chipset to the competitive mid-range segment. Infinix claims the device is the first smartphone in the country to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, positioning it as a performance-focused option for users seeking speed and efficiency at an affordable price.

Under the hood, the Dimensity 7100 chipset delivers an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 750,000, according to the company. The phone can be configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring fast app loading times, smooth multitasking, and reliable day-to-day performance. This combination of next-generation RAM and high-speed storage aims to provide a premium experience in the mid-range category.

The Note Edge 5G features a 6.78-inch curved LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated for up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor visibility even under direct sunlight. Protection is handled by Gorilla Glass 7i, while slim 1.87mm bezels enhance the immersive viewing experience. The display also integrates an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure and convenient unlocking.

For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 13MP front-facing camera that offers an 82-degree field of view. On the rear, the smartphone houses a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera supports video recording of up to 2K resolution at 30 frames per second, catering to users who prioritize high-quality video capture for social media and content creation.

One of the biggest highlights of the Infinix Note Edge 5G is its massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. The battery supports 45W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up their device. Additionally, the phone includes 10W reverse wired charging, enabling it to function as a power source for other compatible devices when needed.

Beyond performance and battery life, the Note Edge 5G also offers a comprehensive feature set. It includes stereo speakers tuned with Sound by JBL, an IR sensor for controlling home appliances, and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, and full 5G support.

On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 16-based XOS 16 out of the box and incorporates several AI-driven features designed to enhance productivity and user convenience. Despite packing a large battery, the device maintains a slim 7.2mm profile and weighs up to 190g, depending on the chosen color variant.

The Infinix Note Edge 5G will be available for purchase starting February 25 through Flipkart and the official Infinix India online store. It will be offered in three color options: Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, and Silk Green.

In terms of pricing, the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is priced at INR 21,999. The 8GB/128GB model costs INR 23,999, while the top-end 8GB/256GB variant is available for INR 25,999, making the Note Edge 5G a compelling option in India’s mid-range smartphone market.
