Realme Neo8’s camera specs revealed, price leaks ahead of launch

The Realme Neo8 is officially set to launch tomorrow in China, and ahead of the announcement, new details have emerged covering both its camera setup and expected pricing. Realme has now confirmed the key camera specifications, while a separate leak appears to reveal the full price structure for all storage variants.

In a series of posts shared on Weibo, Realme confirmed that the Neo8 will feature a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary rear camera. This sensor is expected to deliver improved image quality, better low-light performance, and faster focusing compared to previous Neo-series models.

Alongside the main camera, the Realme Neo8 will also feature a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. According to the company, this camera will support 3.5x optical zoom, 7x lossless zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom, putting the Neo8 in a strong position for long-range photography within its segment. Completing the rear camera setup is an expected 8MP ultrawide sensor, while selfies will be handled by a 16MP front-facing camera.

On the pricing front, details have reportedly leaked via Oppo’s AI-powered customer support chat system. If accurate, the Realme Neo8 will be offered in multiple configurations. The 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 2,599 (around $375), while the 12GB/512GB version could retail for CNY 3,099 (approximately $445). The 16GB/256GB model is tipped to cost CNY 2,899 (about $415), with the 16GB/512GB variant coming in at CNY 3,399 (roughly $485). The top-end 16GB/1TB configuration is expected to carry a price tag of CNY 3,899 (around $560).

Beyond the camera and pricing details, Realme has already confirmed several core specifications. The Neo8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and will feature a Samsung M14 OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a massive 8,000mAh battery, positioning it as one of the largest batteries in its class. The phone will be available in three color options at launch: Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White.

With its flagship-grade processor, high-refresh-rate OLED panel, large battery, and versatile camera system, the Realme Neo8 is shaping up to be a compelling option in the premium midrange to flagship-killer segment. All remaining details should be officially confirmed at tomorrow’s launch event.
