Motorola Razr Fold is official with an 8.09-inch foldable display

Motorola has officially unveiled its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Razr Fold, at CES 2026. The launch marks a shift for the Razr lineup, which has so far been associated exclusively with clamshell foldables. The device will be offered in two Pantone color options: Blackened Blue and Lily White.

The Razr Fold features an 8.09-inch LTPO inner display with a 2K resolution. Thanks to LTPO technology, the panel is expected to support an adaptive refresh rate, although Motorola has not yet confirmed the exact figures. On the outside, the phone sports a 6.56-inch cover display, allowing users to handle most tasks without unfolding the device.

On the camera front, Motorola has equipped the Razr Fold with a triple 50MP rear camera setup. This includes a 50MP main camera using a Sony LYTIA sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The camera system supports Dolby Vision video recording. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera on the cover display and a 20MP camera housed within the inner screen.

The Razr Fold also introduces several AI-powered features, including Catch Me Up, which summarizes missed notifications, and Next Move, which provides contextual suggestions based on usage patterns. In addition, the foldable supports the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, signaling a focus on productivity and note-taking on the large inner display.

Motorola has not yet disclosed key specifications such as the chipset, battery capacity, charging speeds, or durability ratings. Pricing, availability, and full hardware details are expected to be announced at a later date.

With the Razr Fold, Motorola officially joins the competitive book-style foldable segment, and more details should emerge in the coming weeks as the company prepares for its market release.
